Privacy Policy

Account information. When you sign up with Apple or Google, we receive identifiers such as your name, email address, and authentication tokens provided by those services.

Film and content data. This includes film titles, event settings, cover images, photos you or guests upload, display names, share codes, and reveal preferences.

Usage and device data. We may collect app interactions, crash logs, device type, OS version, and approximate location derived from IP address for security and analytics.

Purchase information. If you buy a film tier, payment is processed by Apple or Google. We receive confirmation of the purchase, not your full payment card details.

We use information to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Services
• Create and manage films, invites, and shared galleries
• Apply reveal timing, shot limits, and privacy settings
• Process purchases and restore entitlements
• Communicate about your account, films, or support requests
• Detect abuse, secure the Services, and comply with law

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Other film participants — according to the film’s visibility and reveal settings
• Service providers — such as hosting, authentication, storage, analytics, and payment processors (for example Supabase, Apple, Google)
• Legal authorities — when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security

Photos uploaded to a film are visible only to people invited to that film, subject to host settings (including delayed reveal). Hosts control ending time, reveal timing, participant limits, and whether everyone can see all photos.

Guests should only upload content they have the right to share. Do not upload sensitive or unlawful content.

We retain account and film data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Services. Hosts may delete a film. We may retain limited records for legal, security, or backup purposes for a reasonable period after deletion.

You may update profile details in the app, leave a film (where available), or request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us. Some information may remain visible to others if it was shared in a film before deletion.

Memoir is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We may process information on servers located outside your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date.
